ETD-016 – Marketplace Dispute Resolution Policy
Plain Language Summary
EmergencyTireDelivery.com (“ETD”) strives to promote positive relationships between customers and independent marketplace providers.
While ETD is not a party to transactions between customers and providers, ETD encourages respectful communication, good-faith problem solving, and reasonable efforts to resolve disagreements whenever possible.
This Policy describes ETD’s general approach to marketplace disputes.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to encourage fair, respectful, and timely resolution of disagreements that may arise between customers and providers using the ETD Marketplace.
Maintaining trust requires cooperation, professionalism, and open communication from everyone involved.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to disputes relating to products or services offered through the ETD Marketplace, including but not limited to:
- Tire sales
- Emergency tire delivery
- Mobile tire installation
- Wheel and rim sales
- Heavy truck tire services
- Other marketplace services
3. Independent Transactions
Marketplace providers operate as independent businesses.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, transactions are entered into directly between the customer and the provider.
ETD is not the seller, installer, or service provider and does not assume responsibility for the performance of independent providers.
4. Direct Communication
Customers and providers are encouraged to communicate directly and respectfully to resolve concerns before requesting ETD’s assistance.
Many misunderstandings can be resolved quickly through courteous communication and clarification.
5. Good-Faith Resolution
ETD encourages both customers and providers to approach disagreements in good faith by:
- Listening respectfully
- Sharing accurate information
- Remaining professional
- Seeking practical solutions
- Avoiding unnecessary escalation
6. Requesting ETD Assistance
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, either party may notify ETD.
When appropriate, ETD may review available information to determine whether the matter involves potential violations of ETD Marketplace Policies or Standards.
7. ETD’s Role
ETD may, at its discretion:
- Request additional information
- Review marketplace records
- Encourage communication between the parties
- Evaluate compliance with ETD Marketplace Policies
- Recommend corrective actions relating to marketplace participation
ETD does not guarantee any particular outcome and generally does not determine civil liability, legal rights, or financial responsibility between customers and providers.
8. Professional Conduct During Disputes
Customers and providers are expected to remain professional throughout the dispute resolution process.
Harassment, abusive language, threats, discrimination, intimidation, or knowingly false statements are inconsistent with ETD Marketplace Standards.
9. Accurate Information
Participants should provide truthful and complete information when requesting ETD’s assistance.
Knowingly submitting false or misleading information may affect ETD’s review of the matter and may result in appropriate marketplace action.
10. Marketplace Improvement
Constructive feedback received during dispute reviews may help ETD improve marketplace policies, standards, educational resources, and platform features.
11. Compliance With Law
Nothing in this Policy limits the ability of customers or providers to exercise any rights available under applicable law.
Participants remain responsible for complying with all applicable legal obligations.
