ETD-S100 – Marketplace Standards Manual

Plain Language Summary

The ETD Marketplace Standards establish the operational expectations that support a professional, reliable, and customer-focused marketplace.

While the ETD Corporate Foundation defines the governance, values, and guiding principles of EmergencyTireDelivery.com (“ETD”), the Marketplace Standards describe how those principles are applied in everyday marketplace operations.

The Standards promote consistency, professionalism, transparency, and continuous improvement while recognizing that marketplace participants remain independent businesses responsible for operating their own organizations.

1. Purpose

The purpose of the ETD Marketplace Standards is to establish consistent operational expectations that support:

  • Excellent customer service
  • Professional business practices
  • Marketplace reliability
  • Accurate marketplace information
  • Fair competition
  • Public confidence in the ETD Marketplace

The Standards help create a consistent experience for customers while respecting the independence of every participating provider.

2. Scope

The Marketplace Standards apply, as applicable, to participants in the ETD Marketplace, including:

  • Emergency tire sellers
  • Tire retailers
  • Mobile tire installation providers
  • Commercial truck tire service providers
  • Wheel and rim providers
  • Other marketplace participants
  • ETD administrative operations where applicable

Each Standard identifies the activities or participants to which it applies.

3. Relationship to the Corporate Foundation

The ETD Corporate Foundation establishes the mission, governance, and long-term principles of the marketplace.

The Marketplace Standards support those principles by describing the operational practices that help providers and ETD deliver a consistent, professional, and trustworthy customer experience.

The Corporate Foundation and Marketplace Standards should be interpreted together as complementary components of the ETD Governance Framework.

4. Purpose of Marketplace Standards

Marketplace Standards are intended to:

  • Promote consistency across the marketplace.
  • Encourage professional business practices.
  • Improve customer confidence.
  • Support provider success.
  • Enhance marketplace quality.
  • Encourage continuous improvement.
  • Protect the long-term reputation of the ETD brand.

5. Independent Business Operations

Marketplace providers remain independent businesses.

Nothing contained within the Marketplace Standards creates an employment relationship, partnership, franchise, joint venture, or agency relationship between ETD and marketplace participants.

Providers remain responsible for operating their businesses in compliance with applicable laws and for making their own business decisions.

6. Continuous Improvement

The Marketplace Standards are intended to evolve as the marketplace grows.

ETD may periodically review, revise, expand, consolidate, or retire Marketplace Standards to reflect:

  • Marketplace growth
  • Operational experience
  • Customer feedback
  • Provider feedback
  • Industry developments
  • Technological advancements
  • Applicable legal requirements

Continuous improvement helps ensure that the Marketplace Standards remain practical, relevant, and effective.

7. Professional Expectations

Marketplace participants are expected to conduct business in a manner consistent with ETD’s core values, including:

  • Professionalism
  • Customer-first service
  • Honesty
  • Transparency
  • Reliability
  • Safety
  • Respect
  • Integrity

Where a Marketplace Standard and applicable law differ, providers are expected to comply with the applicable law.
