ETD-013 – Customer Safety Guidelines

Plain Language Summary

EmergencyTireDelivery.com (“ETD”) is committed to promoting safe interactions between customers and independent marketplace providers. While ETD does not control roadside conditions or provider operations, ETD encourages customers and providers to make safety their highest priority during every service call.

These Customer Safety Guidelines are intended to help motorists reduce risks while waiting for or receiving roadside tire-related services.

1. Purpose

The purpose of these Guidelines is to promote safe practices for customers using the ETD Marketplace during roadside emergencies and other tire-related service situations.

2. Personal Safety Comes First

No tire, wheel, or vehicle repair is more important than personal safety.

If your location appears dangerous due to traffic, weather, visibility, or other hazards, consider moving yourself to a safer location whenever it can be done safely.

If moving the vehicle is not possible, move yourself and any passengers to a safe area away from moving traffic whenever practical.

3. Activate Your Hazard Lights

If your vehicle is disabled on or near a roadway, activate your hazard warning lights as soon as possible to improve your visibility to approaching traffic.

4. Follow Emergency Instructions

If law enforcement, emergency responders, highway personnel, or other authorized officials instruct you to move your vehicle or relocate for safety reasons, follow their instructions whenever possible.

5. Share Your Location Accurately

Provide your service provider with the most accurate location information available.

Helpful information may include:

  • Highway name
  • Direction of travel
  • Mile marker
  • Exit number
  • Nearby cross street
  • GPS location
  • Landmarks
  • Make and Model
  • Color of Vehicle

Accurate location information helps reduce delays and improves response efficiency.

6. Stay Alert

Remain aware of your surroundings while waiting for service.

Avoid standing near moving traffic whenever possible and continue watching for approaching vehicles, changing weather conditions, or other hazards.

7. Children and Pets

Whenever practical, keep children and pets safely away from traffic and the work area during the service.

8. Communicate with Your Provider

If roadway conditions change, your location changes, or new hazards develop, promptly inform your provider.

Good communication helps improve both safety and service.

9. Allow a Safe Work Area

Providers need adequate space to safely perform tire installations and related services.

Please avoid entering the immediate work area unless requested by the provider.

10. Respect Safety Decisions

There may be situations where a provider determines that roadside conditions are unsafe to perform the requested service.

If this occurs, ETD encourages customers and providers to work together to identify a safer location whenever reasonably possible.

11. Call Emergency Services When Appropriate

If you believe anyone is injured, faces an immediate danger, or requires urgent medical or emergency assistance, contact local emergency services such as the local police department by dialing 911 immediately before requesting marketplace services.

12. Independent Providers

Providers listed on the ETD Marketplace operate as independent businesses.

Customers should exercise reasonable judgment throughout every transaction and immediately report any situation involving fraud, threats, criminal conduct, or other serious safety concerns to ETD or appropriate authorities.

13. ETD’s Commitment to Safety

ETD believes safety should always take precedence over speed, convenience, or completing a transaction.

Every successful service begins with protecting people first.
