EmergencyTireDelivery.com (“ETD”) may use artificial intelligence (“AI”), automation, and other technology to improve the marketplace experience for customers and providers.
Technology is intended to assist—not replace—human judgment, professional responsibility, or independent business decision-making.
This Policy describes ETD’s general approach to the responsible use of AI and automated systems.
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Policy is to promote the responsible, transparent, and beneficial use of artificial intelligence and automated technologies throughout the ETD Marketplace.
ETD believes technology should enhance efficiency, improve customer experiences, and support marketplace operations while maintaining appropriate human oversight.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to AI and automated systems that may be used in connection with the ETD Marketplace, including but not limited to:
- Search functionality
- Listing recommendations
- Customer support tools
- Marketplace communications
- Fraud detection
- Data analysis
- Translation tools
- Content assistance
- Operational improvements
3. Human Responsibility
Providers remain responsible for the accuracy of their listings, communications, pricing, inventory, and services, regardless of whether AI or automated tools are used to assist in creating or managing marketplace content.
Customers remain responsible for reviewing information and making purchasing decisions based upon their individual circumstances.
4. Human Oversight
ETD encourages appropriate human review of important marketplace information.
Automated systems may assist with processing information, but technology should not replace reasonable human judgment where human review is appropriate.
5. Accuracy
AI-generated or automated content may occasionally contain errors or incomplete information.
ETD encourages providers and customers to verify important information, particularly information relating to:
- Tire sizes
- Product availability
- Pricing
- Vehicle compatibility
- Service locations
- Appointment details
6. Transparency
When reasonably appropriate, ETD may identify marketplace features or communications that are generated or assisted by automated systems.
ETD supports transparency regarding the use of technology that materially affects the marketplace experience.
7. Responsible Use
AI and automated systems should be used in ways that support:
- Customer service
- Marketplace efficiency
- Professional communication
- Accessibility
- Operational improvements
- Marketplace integrity
Technology should not be used to deceive customers, manipulate marketplace information, or misrepresent products or services.
8. Continuous Improvement
Technology continues to evolve.
ETD may periodically improve, modify, replace, or discontinue automated systems as marketplace needs, customer expectations, and technological capabilities change.
9. Privacy
The use of AI and automated systems does not alter ETD’s commitment to protecting user information.
The collection, use, and protection of personal information remain governed by ETD’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
10. Independent Providers
Providers may choose to use AI or automated tools within their own businesses.
However, providers remain solely responsible for ensuring that information presented through the ETD Marketplace is accurate, truthful, current, and compliant with applicable ETD Policies and Marketplace Standards.
