The ETD Marketplace Charter
Founding Edition
Version 1.0
PREAMBLE
The ETD Marketplace Charter establishes the principles, values, and governance philosophy upon which EmergencyTireDelivery.com (“ETD”) is built.
This Charter serves as the foundational document for the ETD Marketplace and is intended to guide future decisions, marketplace standards, provider relationships, platform operations, and the ongoing development of Emergency Tire Logistics.
Every policy, agreement, operational standard, and marketplace initiative developed by ETD should support the principles established within this Charter.
ARTICLE I
OUR PURPOSE
EmergencyTireDelivery.com exists to help motorists locate replacement tires during tire emergencies like when they have a tire blowout on the road without a spare tire by connecting them with independent tire sellers who deliver them within minutes and, where available, independent mobile tire installers through a trusted technology marketplace.
ETD was created to address a common problem faced by motorists throughout the United States: a flat tire or tire blowout when no usable spare tire is available.
Rather than requiring motorists to call multiple Mobile Tire Service providers individually during an emergency to ask if they have their tire size, ETD is designed to simplify the process of locating available replacement tires by searching by tire size and location through the platform and facilitating communication with participating providers and helping motorists return safely to the road.
ARTICLE II
OUR MISSION
Our mission is:
To help motorists safely locate replacement tires, connect with independent providers, and return to the road through a trusted Emergency Tire Logistics Marketplace.
Every decision made by ETD should support this mission.
ARTICLE III
OUR VISION
We envision a future where no motorist is left stranded simply because they cannot locate the right replacement tire.
We strive to build the nation’s most trusted Emergency Tire Logistics Marketplace by bringing together motorists, independent tire sellers, mobile tire installers, tire shops, commercial tire providers, and other marketplace participants through technology that promotes efficiency, transparency, professionalism, and safety.
ARTICLE IV
OUR CORE VALUES
The ETD Marketplace is built upon seven foundational values.
1. Safety
Human life and personal safety are more important than any tire sale, delivery, installation, or business transaction.
ETD promotes a culture of roadside safety for motorists, independent providers, and the traveling public.
2. Integrity
We believe honesty, transparency, and ethical business practices create lasting trust.
We believe that honest pricing is an essential part of ethical business practices. Customers should be able to make informed purchasing decisions based on accurate pricing, truthful advertising, and clear communication.
Marketplace participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and truthfully.
3. Service
Every interaction should contribute toward helping motorists overcome tire emergencies as efficiently and responsibly as reasonably possible.
4. Professionalism
We encourage courteous communication, accurate information, reliable listings, and respectful interactions among all marketplace participants.
5. Innovation
Technology should simplify roadside tire emergencies and improve access to replacement tire solutions.
ETD will continue developing innovative tools that improve the Emergency Tire Logistics Marketplace.
6. Fairness
ETD strives to operate an impartial marketplace that provides independent providers with opportunities to reach customers while giving motorists meaningful choices.
7. Continuous Improvement
We believe every customer interaction, provider experience, and technological advancement presents an opportunity to improve the ETD Marketplace.
ARTICLE V
THE ETD SAFETY PRINCIPLE
Safety is the highest priority of the ETD Marketplace.
Emergency tire deliveries and mobile tire installations often occur near moving traffic, in low-light conditions, during adverse weather, and in other environments that may present elevated risks.
For that reason, ETD encourages all marketplace participants to make safety their first consideration before, during, and after every roadside interaction.
Independent providers are strongly encouraged to:
- Wear high-visibility safety apparel appropriate for roadside work.
- Equip service vehicles with properly installed amber warning lights or strobe lights, where permitted by applicable law, that are visible to approaching traffic from both the front and rear.
- Use vehicle hazard warning flashers and other lawful warning devices when appropriate.
- Position service vehicles to maximize visibility while reducing exposure to moving traffic whenever practical.
- Remain aware of surrounding traffic, weather conditions, roadway hazards, and changing environments throughout every service call.
- Suspend or decline service when conditions present an unreasonable risk to personal safety or the safety of others.
Motorists are encouraged to move to a safer location whenever it can be done safely, activate their vehicle’s hazard warning flashers, remain clear of moving traffic whenever practical, and follow reasonable safety instructions provided by responding independent providers.
Motorists who feel unsafe on the road due to traffic and their vehicle’s current location are encouraged to call the local police by dialing 911 and request officers to provide traffic control to avoid traffic accidents.
No replacement tire is worth risking injury or loss of life.
Safety is not simply a recommendation—it is a core principle of ETD’s culture.
ARTICLE VI
THE EMERGENCY TIRE LOGISTICS PHILOSOPHY
Emergency Tire Logistics is the coordinated process of helping motorists locate replacement tires, connect with independent providers, facilitate tire delivery, and support mobile tire installation whenever available.
ETD believes Emergency Tire Logistics represents a distinct marketplace focused on solving tire-related roadside emergencies through coordination, technology, and professional service.
ARTICLE VII
OUR COMMITMENT
ETD is committed to building a marketplace that promotes:
- Trust
- Professionalism
- Transparency
- Innovation
- Fair competition
- Roadside safety
- Accurate information
- Respect for independent businesses
- Respect for customers
